Due to a high level of international expansion my client is now seeking, for their Reading Head Office or Europe, Middle East or Australasia, qualified:

Project Managers - Oil and Gas

Responsibilities:

Project management on process plant projects across the globe ranging from offshore/upstream oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, and LNG/GTL. Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for leading, directing and delivering all aspects of a large and complex engineering and construction projects performance to ensure client acceptance within a required budget & timescale. Your main duties will include:

  • Identifying and communicating the objectives for the project team in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work and divisional policy
  • Managing relationships with the project Clients, their agents and any joint venture partners, ensuring immediate resolution of any concerns/issues.
  • Achieving scheduled performance, cost, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements of the project from contract award to Client's acceptance whilst negotiating all contract changes with the Client if necessary.
  • Authorisation to determine all matters affecting the implementation and operation of the contract
  • Initiating the formulation of project policy or recommendations to the Client in all key areas in particular planning, procurement, estimation, construction and contract changes. This will include meeting with Marketing Proposals and Commercial Groups to review and handover contract and proposal documentation prior to commencement of work.
  • Organising the project team in consultation with Departmental Managers and agree the assignment of all key personnel
  • Motivating the project team towards the determined objectives by generating enthusiasm for the project by maintaining and achieving set targets
  • Co-ordinate the activities of the main functional groups through the Managers/Lead Engineers on the project.

Experience & Background:

  • Engineering Degree preferred or Project management
  • 8-10 years with extensive experience in project management within the process plant, oil and gas industry
