AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN ENGINEER
We are an international automotive parts manufacturer supplying
turbo-chargers, transmissions, engine cooling systems, engine
timing, torque transfer and other parts. Our global network
in 62 countries includes 13 locations in Asia, 18 in Europe,
and 14 in the Americas. An annual turnover of 4 billion USD
is produced by our 17,800 employees.
In Pyong-Taek we have an affiliated joint venture producing
and marketing turbo-chargers for gasoline and diesel cars,
SUVs and trucks. Our turbo-charger division has been growing
by 30% each year due to the fast growth in passenger diesel
cars in Europe. This growth pattern is also about to be repeated
in Asia as regulations change and diesel vehicles become more
popular.
Our Asian network includes factories in Korea (Pyongtaek,
Shihung, Changwon, Shihung, Chungju, Eumsung) in Japan (Aoyama,
Hitachinaka and Nabari), Taiwan (Tainan Shien), China (Ningbo
and Beijing) and India (Chennai and Kakkalur).
Our Korean turbo-charger subsidiary in Pyong-Taek is already
servicing existing automotive manufacturers in Korea.
To support the continued expansion, we are seeking development
staff, including new engineers for design. We are therefore
seeking Korean engineers who can come to our turbo-charger
headquarters in Germany (near Frankfurt) to spend 6-18 months
in training before returning to Korea.
Job Tasks:
- Obtaining clear specifications from the customers
- Designing the turbo-charger including the mechanical parts,
cover and connectors
- Simulations and documentation
- Frequent contacts with the customer for needed design changes
- Coordination with testing, Research and manufacturing departments
Candidate Profile:
- Native Korean
- Good English or German language
- Good CAD skills.
- Graduated Mechanical Engineer
- Some previous work experience in the area of testing design
or project management.
- Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry is beneficial
but not required
- Good communication skills for negotiating with customers
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Flexible to spend 6-18 months in Germany for training
