Established in 1962, our client is an oil company operating an
oil production of more than 550,000 barrels per day and
a sales gas production of up to some 1,000 million cubic
feet per day. The company has a net production exceeding
500,000 barrels of oil equivalents per day from fields in
the Danish and British parts of the North
Sea, offshore Qatar,
in Algeria
and in Kazakhstan.
Activities are ongoing in the Danish, British, German and
Norwegian sectors of the North Sea,
Qatar, Algeria, Angola, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan,
Oman, Morocco, Colombia, Brazil and Surinam. This
major international company is now seeking a qualified:
Senior Electrical Engineer
The right candidate is an experienced Electrical Engineer
(power) with a minimum of 5 years experience with electrical
design and experience with the petrochemical industry and/or
installations in an explosive environment.
The position
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be working in the Facilities
Engineering Section in Esbjerg
and will report to the Head of Electrical Engineering. He
or she will be part of a team that works with a large variety
of tasks from day to day production support to design of
electrical systems for new platforms. Some of the Senior
Electrical Engineer’s tasks are:
- Conceptual
studies
- Detailed
engineering of minor modification jobs
- Participation
in design and safety reviews
- Participation
in offshore Electrical audits
- Perform Vendor
inspection and factory acceptance test
- Project site
support and supervision
- Offshore
installation, hook-up and commissioning
- Project coordination
and budget control
Experience
The successful candidate must have advanced design experience
with low- and medium voltage power generation and distribution
systems, such as:
- Short circuit
calculations
- Device coordination
studies
- Load flow
studies
- Generator
control and protection
- Low and medium
voltage switchboard
- UPS
- Familiar
with Danish and European codes and regulations
Besides the above professional skills, the successful candidate
possesses analytical skills and the ability to take the
initiative.
