Director QMHSE Denmark
Established in 1962, our client is an oil company
operating an oil production of more than 550,000 barrels per day
and a sales gas production of up to some 1,000 million cubic feet
per day. The company has a net production exceeding 500,000 barrels
of oil equivalents per day from fields in the Danish and British
parts of the North Sea, offshore Qatar, in Algeria
and in Kazakhstan.
Activities are ongoing in the Danish, British, German and Norwegian
sectors of the North Sea, Qatar,
Algeria, Angola,
Kazakhstan,
Turkmenistan, Oman,
Morocco, Colombia, Brazil
and Surinam.
Our client designs, develops and operates a global
fleet of advanced drilling rigs. The rigs are designed to operate
in extreme conditions, and the oil companies lease the rigs and
personnel for exploration. Our client also develops and operates
a mobile fleet of oil production ships. At the headquarters in
Copenhagen
and at local shore bases, they are building the strategic, technological
and administrative foundation for their offshore operations.
For the headquarters in Copenhagen, we are seeking a (m/f) Quality Management/Health,
Safety & Environment (QM/HSE) Director to head a team
of 10-12 QMHSE specialists.
You will be reporting directly to the CEO.
QM/HSE Director
Main responsibilities:
As the Director of
our clients QMHSE Department you will become the corporate
advisor on health, safety, environmental and security issues.
Your main tasks will be to render support
and professional advice to management and the designated QMHSE
functions in the entire organisation. It is your obligation to
be on the forefront of the development of HSE in the industry
and be abreast of trends within the total quality management principles.
- Be the main communicator and
motivator of a constantly improving Safety performance and a
growing Environmental awareness of the entire Maersk Contractors
organisation
- Keep management informed of
new requirements pertaining to HSE and quality management issues
and propose procedures, which ensure that these requirements
are included in the terms of reference for Maersk Contractors.
- Establish procedures which
ensure that specified performance parameters are monitored,
including parameters pertaining to incidents, accidents and
non-conformances. Furthermore ensure data being analyzed and
trends and conclusions are reported to management.
- Conduct formal audits as per
the agreed Audit Plan
- Ensure relevant requirements
of the Corporate Management System are implemented
Your qualifications:
- You have at least 2-3 years
experience at management level with quality management and
HSE issues, and around 10 years working experience within
the offshore or maritime industry.
- You have preferably a technical
background within engineering, a past within the offshore
industry or a nautical background from the maritime industry.
- You are proficient in safety
management and in total quality management principles
- You are conversant with environmental
management principles
