FPSO Fleet Maintenance Superintendent - Denmark

Established in 1962, our client is an oil company operating an oil production of more than 550,000 barrels per day and a sales gas production of up to some 1,000 million cubic feet per day. The company has a net production exceeding 500,000 barrels of oil equivalents per day from fields in the Danish and British parts of the North Sea, offshore Qatar, in Algeria and in Kazakhstan. Activities are ongoing in the Danish, British, German and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea, Qatar, Algeria, Angola, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Oman, Morocco, Colombia, Brazil and Surinam.

Our client designs, develops and operates a global fleet of advanced drilling rigs. The rigs are designed to operate in extreme conditions, and the oil companies lease the rigs and personnel for exploration. Our client also develops and operates a mobile fleet of oil production ships. At the headquarters in Copenhagen and at local shore bases, they are building the strategic, technological and administrative foundation for their offshore operations.

We are now seeking to employ a Maintenance Superintendent to provide maintenance support and guidance to the shore-base offices and FPSOs operating world-wide.

You would be located in Denmark and report to the Maintenance Manager. Your responsibility will be to improve the maintenance system, and to optimise maintenance procedures and equipment. You will work closely together with the Operations Department in our headquarters and our shore-base offices, as well as with rig maintenance crews.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Continuously improve our maintenance system, P3M (SAP Enterprise)
  • Make sure that our maintenance system is used correctly on all our rigs
  • Develop maintenance procedures and work instructions, and implement condition-based maintenance
  • Carry out and follow up on technical rig inspections
  • Revise and update our maintenance system and work instructions on our rigs with regard to rationalisation and improved methods within the scheduled repair and maintenance system
  • Assist our shore-base offices in ensuring that the rules and regulations of the classification societies, safety regulations and applicable laws are adhered to in the preventive maintenance work

Your qualifications:

  • Certified Marine Engineer
  • Familiar with maintenance systems
  • Some years’ experience in a maintenance/technical position on a floating production unit
  • Fluent in English - written and spoken
  • Offshore safety courses applicable to non-regular crew as stipulated by the continental shelf authorities of the North Sea
