We currently have a construction
management vacancy in the Oil & Gas Industry, with a sister
company located in Abu Dhabi. The position is a 3-4 year appointment, with
the possibility to extend longer.

Senior HSE Risk & Reliability Engineer
Duties
1
Facilitating HAZID, HAZOP and similar workshops
and preparing bowtie diagrams and hazards & effects
registers;
2
Risk (qualitative or quantitative) and ALARP
assessments of hydrocarbon and other hazards at oil/gas
facilities;
3
Preparation of COMAH and HSEIA reports for
oil/gas facilities;
4
SIL assessment in accordance with IEC 61508
and IEC 61511, including participation in workshops as facilitator
or secretary;
5
Additional reliability assessments, including
FMEA, FTA, ETA, and dependency modelling;
6
Preparation of technical reports to a high
standard;
7
Coordination with other disciplines within
project teams;
8
Working in accordance with the MM Group Quality,
Environmental and Safety (QES) Management System, which
is certified to ISO-9000/14000 standards;
9
Working within allocation of man-hours expenditure
and to deadlines;
10
Professional development, innovation and
adaptation to suit new projects;
11
Supporting Lead HSE Engineer in other HSE
activities.
General Requirements
1
Suitable, relevant degree or equivalent;
2
Further qualification or accreditation in
a relevant specialisation;
3
At least 10 years demonstrable, in-depth
experience in risk & reliability engineering;
4
Familiarity with risk and reliability standards
including IEC 61508 and IEC 61511;
5
Experience and understanding of offshore
and onshore oil & gas industry hazards and their management;
6
A high level of computer literacy and familiarity
with MS Office applications;
7
Fluency in reading, writing, speaking and
understanding spoken English;
8
Ability to contribute within a multidisciplinary
and multicultural team at Senior Engineer level;
9
Adaptability to client requirements and workload,
resulting from broad experience of industry safety practices,
familiarity with international standards, and clear grasp
of reliability/risk and engineering fundamentals.
